Big congrats to Amber and Mahdi! These two live in Minnesota but travel all around the globe, this time they landed in NYC, for a moment. Mahdi took Amber (and his mom!) above the skies of NYC in a private helicopter tour to propose to Amber while flying past the Statue of Liberty! We were the “tourists” who photographed the whole thing and even got to hear the sweet moment over the helicopter headsets, so awesome!
There are certainly some cool perks to be a wedding and portrait photographer. On the surface the travels and hanging out in expensive venues and working with pseudo celebrity clients can be really fun. And it is really fun don’t get me wrong, but the really amazing stuff is getting to meet some amazing people. Amy and Corey are some truly amazing people.
Last year Corey hired us to photograph his proposal to Amy in Times Square. It was the end of February and freezing outside but we had a great time with these two!
Once they started planning the wedding we hoped to be involved. As the plans went on and different ideas were suggested Amy and Corey decided to elope in Italy!
Big congrats to Bliss and Chris! They had a beautiful destination elopement right here in NYC! From the perfect day in Central Park for photos to the rooftop at sunset at the Peninsula Hotel it was perfection!
This is the fourth year in a row I’ve photographed this fun Brooklyn family! Mandy and Matt and their sons Gabriel and Ezra live in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, a gorgeous neighborhood that I love getting to photograph them in every year! This time was no different except these boys are growing up fast!
Marlena and Shafiee were in NYC for their honeymoon and wanted to capture some of their IHNY in their traditional Singapore wedding attire! So awesome!
We started the day in the Meatpacking District where the red umbrellas in the seating area went perfectly with Shafiee’s wedding look! Then it was off to Grand Central where these two just rocked it. After a quick change into some super stylish looks, we headed back downtown to the east side of Manhattan!
