Her love of New York City means that you'll be bombared with various NYC historical facts sure to amuse during your session. Jason Groupp A true native New Yorker, this man can hail a cab with a whistle! Jason has been shooting for over 25 years and is the creator of the IHNY session. He loves bow ties beyond any normal grown adult, and current estimation of the collection is into the hundreds.

I get what IHNY sessions are all about, but why do I need this? Your trip to New York City will be over before you know it. Why have blurry cell phone photos with just one of you actually in the photo? Visiting (or living) in New York City is a big deal and we want your Facebook friends to be VERY jealous. What should I wear? New York City is the fashion capitol of the world so you're going to see fashion styles from all over the world and then some. You should definitely take this opportunity to buy that dress you thought you might have no reason to wear anywhere else. We love sites like Rent the Runway (USA) or Lending Luxury (UK) and of course if you keep up with our blog we'll let you know when sample sales and other fun NYC fashion events are happening! Also our Pinterest boards are full of ideas for different seasons! Remember to dress in what makes you feel comfortable! What happens if there is bad weather? Do we reschedule? Part of the charm of New York City is its unpredictable weather, but that's okay. If your time in the city allows it we can reschedule but shooting on those just rained on city streets is one of our favorite things. Not to mention umbrellas and rainboots make for real cute accessories. And if the rain is torrential... well we can always stop for a drink right? I'm in New York City with my family, can we schedule a IHNY family session? OF COURSE! We love photographing families, children or anyone you'd like to remember forever on your adventure in New York City. IHNY sessions can include up to 5 individuals with no additional charge. Larger groups can be accomodated, please feel free to email or call us to discuss these arrangements. Do you shoot proposals and elopements? YES WE DO. New York City is a very romantic place, even though we know the subways aren't the nicest smelling locations here. The team at IHNY has shot over 1000 weddings... so does that answer your question? Is there anything else we should bring? Make sure you do bring comfortable shoes to slip on and off if you decide to wear heels ladies! New York City has great public transportation but we still do a lot of walking here. Please leave any valuables you don't need with you during the shoot at the hotel because you'll be setting your bags/coats down during some shots and we don't want those to disappear! Bring a smile and get ready to have a great time!
